Pineapple comes into season during March, so it’s the perfect time to throw one in your shopping trolley. Its juicy sweetness and ridiculous levels of Vitamin C (120% RDA) make pineapple an immune-boosting powerhouse. Coupled with nutritious spinach, it makes for a sweet but nutritious smoothie.

 

If you’re new to green smoothies, or unconvinced by the thought of drinking leaves, then this smoothie is guaranteed to win you over.

 

  • 10-20 spinach leaves (approximately 1-2 cups if choppeGreen-Banana-Pineapple-Smoothied)
  • 2 slices of pineapple (approx. 200g or you can use ½ tin)
  • 1 banana

 

Peel the pineapple and banana, then and blend all the ingredients with 120ml (½ cup) of water.
