This healthy tangerine smoothie is bursting with vitamins, and tastes delicious too. Tangerines are a sweeter alternative to oranges, with their own unique flavour. They’re a healthy snack for kids and adults alike, but often overlooked in smoothies.
So in this tangerine smoothie recipe, we blend them with banana and kale. The banana gives it a velvety texture, and a slightly creamy edge too. The sweetness of the tangerines balances the kale, and helps to enhance the flavour.
Tangerine Smoothie Recipe
So simple, yet so healthy, this smoothie contains just three ingredients…
- 2 tangerines
- 1 banana (frozen)
- 1 handful of kale (or other leafy greens)
#1. Peel the tangerines and banana, and wash the kale.
#2. Add everything to the blender, along with a little water.
#3. Blend thoroughly until the kale leaves have disintegrated.
You can swap the tangerines for similar citrus fruits like satsumas or clementines. Using spinach instead of kale works just as well.
